Master Y. S. Kim

Master Kim began studying Tae Kwon Do at the young age of four years old.

Master Kim earned his Master's Degree in Physical Education from the Korea National Sport University (KNSU) and graduated as Valedictorian.

As a 7th degree Kukkiwon Certified Black Belt, Master Kim is also:

• Licensed 2nd Class International Taekwondo Master from Kukkiwon

• Licensed 2nd Class Promotion Test Examiner from Kukkiwon

• World Tae Kwon Do (WT) International Referee 

• President of Korean American Tae Kwon Do Union

• President of U.S. Korea Tae Kwon Do Association of North Carolina 

• Director of Korea Sports Association in U.S.A.

• Former President of KNSU Tae Kwon Do Alumni Association in Pan America

• Worked with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee for 10 years 

• Coordinator of Korea National Olympic Team

• Licensed Teacher of Physical Education from Korea Gov.

• Received a certificate from  the U.S. Congress House of Representatives and New York State Assembly for his dedication and outstanding to the development of Tae Kwon Do throughout the world

Master Kim was the International and Korean National Tae Kwon Do Champion and has been awarded commendations from the President’s Council of the United States, World Tae Kwon Do (WT), Pan Am Taekwondo Union, Kukkiwon, Korean Sports and Olympic Committee as well as Korean Government officials for his dedicated service and outstanding contribution.
